The Unexpected Heir
Lord Clyde Kaspen is the younger brother of Lord Cormac Kaspen and ruler of the lands of their father. He has two sons, Isaac Kaspen and Talwyn Kaspen. He is the uncle of Amanda Kaspen and Narron Kaspen, and great-uncle to Oryn Kaspen. Deasta Lasten is his current sister-in-law.
While Clyde's father's lands did grow during Cormac's rise to prominence, they are still a barely significant stretch of land in a backwater part of Lethbrand. Clyde has little ambition for war or politics, and is content to quietly rule the lands he inherited. While House Kaspen is not wealthy or important within their kingdom's politics, they are well regarded for their honesty and neutrality, and Lord Clyde is known as a patron of the arts. The House Kaspen library has a very extensive collection for such an unimportant family, and although it cannot rival the libraries of some of the greater lords of Lethbrand, it remains a popular destination for scholars.
